The Design Process:
Creation Ideation
When planning the 2024 Easter designs, I aimed for something bold and fun. I definitely wanted a mascot design—something that, when kids saw it, they'd exclaim, 'Mom, I want to go to that!'
I also wanted the entire seasonal brand to be trendy and stand out from typical church Easter designs.
Research
When I started researching design ideas, I looked at other Easter Sunday and Easter event designs. I found nothing that matched my vision, which was perfect because it confirmed that my concept was unique and exactly what I wanted.
Designing
Before I start designing, I usually begin with a mood board. However, for this project, I started by sketching. I created an Easter Egg Mascot with bunny ears and fell in love with the concept. From there, I developed various design elements and assets and created a cohesive color palette.
I designed the custom Easter bubble letters and used them in all my Easter promotions for a cohesive look.
Feedback
This was presented as the first concept; there were no revisions, and it was love at first sight.
